THE LEGEND OF KISSI
I named my kennel KISSI because of that dog. KISSI is pronounced like KISS-eye. It is actually an African tribe that strongly believe that the ancestor cult reflects on the ritual knowledge that each one is a member of a descent group and that everything comes down through the chain of ancestors. Among the KISSI, the shadow, one of the 3 elements that constitute
every living thing - I am committed to breeding the same type of dog I first fell in love with - beautiful, loyal and intelligent companions. Dogs that will touch your heart as they have mine. A dog's love is unconditional...A Ridgeback isn't just another dog...It's a Lifestyle!" That's my motto and one I will live by until I cannot take care of these wonderful creatures. Somehow a Ridgeback isn't the same as the other dog breeds and while I feel and live this uniqueness...it is often times difficult to describe.I show these dogs in both obedience and Conformation, we teach all breeds in our training center and I am also a Certified Instructor for Therapy Dogs International. I have bred, own or co-own dogs with American, Canadian and United Kennel Club Championships in both Conformation and Obedience. In addition to that, some of our dog family is active in Agility and Lure Coursing and hold titles in both of these sports as well as Herding. We have begun Tracking with our RRs and hope to one day have a Tracking Title as well.

I fell in love with my first Rhodie in 1978, although there have been
many dogs since then, I have never forgotten my 'Best Friend’.
